Art and painting is a true passion Many of my paintings are inspired by my life, loves and pleasures. Whether I choose to paint realistically or abstractly depends on the moment and vision of that piece and sometimes that changes!
Most of my art is in transparent watercolor but I occasionally dabble my brushes into oil or acrylics. I find that the flow and vibrancy of watercolor offers me a visual enhancement of my life!
The local art associations and workshops have fueled my passion by offering avenues in which to pursue this artistic path with so many opportunities to learn by not only getting my brush wet but also by getting my feet wet as an artist. While living in the St Louis area, I have taken some inspiring classes by local and talented artist/teachers as well as several nationally known artists/teachers such as John Salminen, Judy Morris, Sue Archer, Richard Stephens, Ted Nuttal and David Drummond.
While not painting, I keep busy with gardening, family and volunteering in the community.
