“Painting is my passion and life is my inspiration.
Many of my paintings are inspired by my life, loves and pleasures.”
Rosie is represented by 2 galleries in Charleston
Studio 151 Fine Art Gallery and The Charleston Artist Guild Gallery
and is the
2016-2017 President for The Charleston Artist Guild Association.
She is honored to have her work hang in private collections across the United States and Europe.
Art has always been a part of Rosie and she has finally allowed her passion to grow and develop.
A native of Texas, Rosie has lived with her husband and family in Texas, Louisiana, Kansas, London UK,
Missouri and as of August 2010, is delighted to call Charleston, SC her home.Rosie started to create her art later in life but it has been a life long passion that had to wait until the time was right.
Her paintings are inspired by her life and love of the beautiful gift of our ever changing world.
She works from her home studio in the low-country which inspires many of her paintings.
Her creative process is constantly evolving as she explores her passion for art creating her paintings
with brushes and palette knife.
"Life is full of inspiration when you open your eyes!”
Rosie often finds her subject matter when not even looking for it, so she usually has a camera close by
and is inspired to paint special places she has been to.
She has many reference photos and hopes to paint them all.
For many years prior, Rosie would take photographs and say,
“Someday, I will paint that!”
Rosie is an Exhibiting Member of the Charleston Artist Guild Association and has also been juried into shows in S Carolina, N Carolina and Missouri. The local art associations and workshops have fueled her passion to pursue this artistic path with opportunities to learn by getting her brush and feet wet as an artist. Rosie has studied under several nationally known artists from which she continues to develop her own personal style. Part of the learning process has also been to get involved with the business and governing of local art societies and councils.
